May 2 (Reuters) - The U.S. Minerals Management Service said two natural gas producing facilities in the Gulf of Mexico had been shut as the oil spill that continued to leak from a BP Plc well about 40 miles south of the Louisiana coast.
As of Sunday, two natural gas platforms have been shut in, one evacuated, and a third non-producing platform was evacuated. About 6.2 million cubic feet of daily natural gas production remains shut in. That is less than a tenth of 1 percent of normal daily output of 6.6 billion cubic feet of gas.
The following are among oil and gas producing platforms in the Gulf of Mexico that are within 50 miles or so of the spill site. There are no indications that these facilities have been affected by the spill.

* Na Kika, 110,000 b/d oil, 425 million cubic feet of gas per day. About 15 miles south of spill site.
* Horn Mountain, 65,000 b/d oil, 68 million cubic feet of gas. About 25 miles northeast of the spill site.
* Thunder Horse, 250,000 b/d oil, 200 million cubic feet of gas. About 40 miles south of spill.
Chevron Corp
* Blind Faith, 65,000 b/d oil, 55 million cubic feet of gas. About 35 miles southeast of spill site.
* Petronius, 40,000 b/d oil, 35 million cubic feet of gas. About 50 miles northeast of the spill
